Wild in the Parks 2014, Results

Schönstes Wetter und hartes Shredden machten diesen Contest zu einem Highlight des Jahres.

Die Kids Generation war zahlreich am Start und hat klargemacht, dass mit ihnen definitiv das Niveau nochmals einen Zacken zulegen wird.... da freuen wir uns auf alles was noch kommen mag.. Yeah!

The Volcom Wild In The Parks Switzerland took place in Zürich at the Freestyle Halle this year. The Freestyle Halle is a brand new indoor skatepark in the heart of Switzerland with an amazing setup for every level…so many possibilities and so much fun… next time you’re around the area, you should definitely visit this genius playground. Saturday morning was a busy morning at the registration tent…thanks to Miki, Simone and Jeff for the great and well-organized signup! We didn`t expected so many young Skateboarders…the 14 and under division had the most participants (50 kids!), and all pumped to be there! Due to the usual work with high-strung kids the contest started a bit late (…and became immediately serious), that was perfect timing for the grill to be started and deliver some food to load everyone’s battery before starting. Soon of, the heats got started and the music volume got turned up. The contest in 3 words: So much ENERGY, a lot of POP and such a good Level! Check the photos and videos to feel the energy of this event…it was a blast. The judges had a tough job because there were soooo many heats and the level of the young and old skateboarders was really close together. We also had a bunch of spectators who supported the guys like rock stars… It was another great in Switzerland and with all the kids who showed up we have the proof that skateboarding is booming in this part of Europe. We`re looking forward to next year…Big thanks to the crew of the Freestyle Halle Zürich and all the great staff we had on site.…the Judges (Thun and Züri Connection), our Speaker (the man with the beer), Jeff (the Supervisor), Miki and Simone (the Mathematicians), Andre (our Chef) and last but not least Carlos and his friendly Crew (Freestylehalle). Volcom Wild in the Parks European Tour 2014

Der Schweizer Tourstop findet dieses Jahr zum ersten Mal in der Freestyle Halle Zürich statt. Der Contest ist offen für alle, auch Kids, Girls oder ältere Semester sind willkommen. Wir haben für alle einen Heat am Start. Ab ca.10 Uhr öffnen wir den Skatepark für Practice und Inscription. Der Contest beginnt dann um 12 Uhr.

In mehreren Heats werden 3 verschiedene Obstacles/Zones bewertet. Gefahren können die Obstacles in beliebiger Reihenfolge und so oft man möchte. Jeder gestandene Trick wird bewertet und der beste Trick pro Obstacle/Zone und Heat, entscheidet über Weiterkommen oder Bratwurst Essen. Pro Heat fahren 8-12 Skater gleichzeitig und die Obstacles können frei gewählt werden, wild im Park eben.

Die besten 5 Skater aus jeder Kategorie qualifizieren sich für die European Wild in the Parks European Championships in Sevilla. Good luck, brothers!

Während des Contests wird gegrillt und den ganzen Nachmittag können bei weiteren kleinen Skate Challenges (A.B.C usw.) Preise gewonnen werden. Alle Teilnehmer werden von Volcom mit gratis Getränken und BBQ versorgt.

Kommt vorbei, geniesst ein gemütliches BBQ, skatet mit eurer Crew und freut euch darauf sicher nicht mit leeren Händen nach Hause zu gehen. Auch Zuschauer sind natürlich willkommen.

YEAH, Mish!

Letzten Herbst feierte die Freestyle Halle die Wiedereröffnung der Minirampe und auch ihr Fünfjähriges bestehen. Nichts Neues also, aber dieses Bild von Mish möchten wir euch dennoch nicht vorenthalten.

Skate- Contest mit Sven Kilchenmann als Host, Judge und Entertainer. Alterskategorie bis 16 Jahre.

Nach einem Jahr Pause gibt es am 6. Juli wieder einen Kiddie Contest in der Freestyle Halle! Check den Flyer und schaut vorbei. 

Der Contest ist für alle Skaters bis und mit 16 Jahre. Alle anderen die rollen möchten, sollten sich an diesem Tag einen anderen Spot suchen.
